From July 17 to September 15, the Mark Rothko Art Center in Daugavpils hosts the Ķīpsalas keramika (Ceramics of Ķīpsala) exhibition, which features works by six female artists who have worked in the Ķīpsala ceramics workshops - a kind of an academy for ceramists thoughout Latvia - for much of their artistic lives, LSM reports.

While the tower of Riga Cathedral is being reconstructed, it is wrapped in the creations of graphic designer Paulis Liepa, whose work here reminds one of the ancient architectural values of the cathedral, fs LSM reported.

LSM - Legendary Riga-born dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov will give the world premiere of a new show based on the poetry of Russian writer Joseph Brodsky later this year, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
