"Iberia Express" resumes flights from Riga to Madrid

From today, Spain's budget airline "Iberia Express" returns to Riga International Airport where it will operate a direct connection between Riga and Madrid for the second year running.

From July 2 until August 31, the airline will fly to the Latvian city with two weekly frequencies (Tuesday and Saturday).

With this route, "Iberia Express" completes its international offer in July, which now totals seven destinations from Madrid: Athens, Copenhagen, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Riga and St. Petersburg. All these flights are in turn connected with "Iberia's" network, including the wide long-haul network in the United States and Latin America.

"Iberia Express", a subsidiary of "Iberia", operates short and medium-haul routes and provides direct traffic as well as feeding "Iberia's" long-haul network. The company is amongst one of the most punctual airlines in Europe, reaching a punctuality level of 96.4 percent in May. "Iberia Express" is a member of "oneworld", an alliance of eleven airlines, which offers passengers a fleet of 2,500 aircraft operating 8,750 daily flights to 800 international destinations around the world in 150 countries.

The company operates in code share with "Iberia", "LAN Airlines", "Qantas Airways", "Air Berlin", "Japan Air Lines", "American Airlines", "Avianca", "Finnair", "British Airways" and "Siberia Airlines".
