''airBaltic'' increases flight frequency between Riga and Croatia

 RIGA, Feb 14 - Latvian airline ''airBaltic'' will introduce an additional weekly flight from Riga to the Croatian city of Rijeka on the Adriatic coast, the airline informed the business information portal ''Nozare.lv''.

The airlines informs that improved service will offer convenient travel between the two airports, and beyond to destinations in the Baltics, Scandinavia, Russia, and the CIS.
''We are encouraged by the high demand for our new flights to Rijeka. We are delighted to introduced an additional flight frequency to Rijeka on Sundays for the peak travel season in summer,'' said the airline's chief commercial officer Michael Grimme.

''airBaltic'' will fly from Riga to Rijeka twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Passengers will board a ''Boeing 737-300'' aircraft for a flight that will last for 2 hours and 25 minutes.
For summer 2013, ''airBaltic'' has introduced six new destinations - Prague (Czech Republic), Heviz-Balaton (Hungary), Olbia (Sardinia, Italy), Rijeka (Croatia), Larnaca (Cyprus), and Malta.

''airBaltic'' currently serves 60 destinations from its home base in Riga.

"airBaltic" was established in 1995, the state of Latvia is currently the key shareholder with a 99.8 percent stake.
