Gulbis regains nine places in ATP rankings

 LONDON, Feb 25 - Latvia's top ranked tennis player Ernests Gulbis has climbed nine places in the latest ATP rankings and is currently ranked 109th.

At the moment, Gulbis has 488 ranking points.

Last week, Gulbis took part in the Marseilles ATP ''World Tour 250'' series tennis tournament, losing to first-seed Tomas Berdych (Czech Republic) 4-6, 7-6 (12:10), 4-6 in the second round.

This past Sunday, Gulbis scored his second win in Delray Beach International Tennis Championships' qualification tournament, beating Illya Marchenko (Ukraine) 7-6 (7:2), 6-4. He will play another Ukrainian tennis player - Denys Molchanov - in the decisive qualification round.

Among the other Latvian players in the ATP rankings, Andis Juska moves up two places to 324th, Deniss Pavlovs - four places to 691st, Martins Podzus - five places to 1,163rd.
Mikelis Libietis is 1,393rd, Krisjanis Stabins - 1,403rd, Oskars Vaskis - 1,563rd, Arkadijs Slobodkins - 1,776th.

At the top of the table, Novak Djokovic (Serbia) is still in first place, followed by Roger Federer (Switzerland) and Andy Murray (Great Britain).
