RIGA, Jan 23- In Kontinental Ice Hockey League (KHL) action on Tuesday, Latvian ice hockey club Riga ''Dinamo'' lost to Russian ice hockey club Yaroslavl ''Lokomotiv'' 1:2 in an overtime shootout.
This was the fourth loss in a row for the Latvian club.
Miks Indrasis scored an amazing lacrosse style goal, which will certainly become a ''Youtube'' hit, to tie the game midway through the final period. However, ''Lokomotiv's'' Yuri Petrov scored the winning goal in the OT shootout to earn his team the two points.
Alexei Kruchinin scored the regulation goal for ''Lokomotiv''.
The Latvian club will now go on its final road game series, which will kick off early Saturday morning (Latvian time) against Russian ice hockey club Khabarovsk ''Amur''.
Riga "Dinamo" is currently in 12th place in the Kontinental Ice Hockey League's (KHL) Western Conference with 46 points from 46 games, 14 points behind the conference's eighth placed team (only the top eight teams in each of the two conferences qualify for the KHL playoffs). On the other hand, ''Lokomotiv'' is in 4th place with 86 points.
