Melbardis' two-man bob second in Bobsleigh World Cup stage in Koenigssee

 KOENIGSSEE (Germany), Jan 12 - Latvia's Oskars Melbardis and Daumants Dreiskens on Saturday placed second in the Bobsleigh World Cup's second stage for two-man bobs.
This is Melbardis' best result in his career as a pilot.
In the first run, Melbardis/Dreiskens finished second, 0.05 seconds behind Canada's Lyndon Rush. In the second run, the Latvians were the fastest, however, they lost 0.38 seconds to Rush on aggregate. Francesco Friedrich's bob finished in third place.
After seven in the Bobsleigh World Cup, Rush is currently in first place with 1288 points, whereas Melbardis fourth with 1210 points.
