M.Dukurs wins another Skeleton World Cup stage

WINTERBERG (Germany), Dec 7 - Latvia's Martins Dukurs won his third Skeleteon World Cup stage of the season today at the Winterberg Track in Germany.

This was his third triumph this season.

Meanwhile, M.Dukurs' brother Tomass Dukurs finished in overall fifth place.

Russia's Alexander Tretyakov finished in overall second place today, 0.14 seconds behind M.Dukurs, while Germany's Christopher Grotheer finished in overall third, 0.90 seconds behind M.Dukurs.

In the Skeleton World Cup overall standings at the moment, M.Dukurs is the leader with 885 points, while T.Dukurs is in third place with 786 points.

As reported, this season's Skeleton WC favorite remains Martins Dukurs, who is a three-time World Cup champ, and the 2006 Olympic silver medalist. He also won last season's European Skeleton Championships and World Championships.

On the other hand, T.Dukurs finished in overall third place in last season's Skeleton World Cup.
