RIGA, Dec 7  - More than a half or 60 percent of economically active Latvian residents believe that Latvia should hold a referendum on the introduction of the euro, according to a survey carried out by the market, social and media research company "TNS Latvia" and the LNT television channel.
43 percent definitely approve of the euro adoption referendum, 17 percent - rather approve of it than not.
36 percent believe that there is no need to stage a referendum on Latvia's accession to the euro. 18 percent are certain about it, another 18 percent - rather convinced.
4 percent have no opinion.
The survey was carried out from November 27 to November 29; altogether, 650 residents aged 18 to 55 were interviewed.
