Latvian ex-prime minister’s wage grew EUR 7,000 last year

Last year, Māris Kučinskis earned EUR 7,000 more as Latvia’s prime minister than he did in 2017, according to his declaration for 2018.

Kučinskis, who lost his post as prime minister and has since become a Saeima deputy, earned EUR 70,074 as compared to EUR 63,124 in 2017.

Additionally, the ex-prime minister received EUR 667 allowance from the State Social Insurance Agency.

Kučinskis’ debt had declined by more than EUR 5,000 last year – to EUR 23,321.

The ex-prime minister owns land and real estate in Jērcēni County. He also owns a Mitsubishi Outlander (2017).
