On Saturday, December 2 the traditional Christmas Bazaar organized by International Women’s Club and 29 foreign Embassies will take place in Riga City Hall.

The Charity Bazaar, which will be held for the 21st time, presents a cross-national cultural experience and an opportunity to taste typical food and drinks, as well as purchase original gifts for your loved ones – presents, flowers, toys, handmade items, wine and delicacies from all around the world–a perfect choice for Christmas shopping. On the Bazaar day, our aim is raise 40.000 € for charities all around Latvia.

Thanks to the festive atmosphere, the Christmas Bazaar has become very popular with the local community. You can enjoy Christmas Carol singing by children and taste culinary products from more than 20 countries presented by embassy people, as well as participate in auctions and lotteries.

A few traditional Bazaar activities:

- In the Tombola you can win fantastic prizes from food baskets to cosmetics, toys to hairdryers, restaurant vouchers to confectionary by buying a 5 € ticket. Every ticket wins!

- The Live Auction will be held at 13:00;

- Silent Auction bidding starts at 11:00;

- There will be a handicraft table with beautiful handmade items by the club ladies. You can buy items made by beautiful Scandinavian fabrics - aprons, kitchen mittens, bags, towels, kettle covers and many more. All products are labeled with the IWCR logo and marked as purchased for charity;

- Nearly new, upscale flea market with clothes for children, women and men, shoes, books, games, toys, household goods.

The result of this charitable effort is significant - last year nearly 40.000 EUR was raised and donated to 16 charities all around Latvia, such as SOS Children villages, Hope for Children, Association of Foster Families and others.

The Christmas Bazaar tradition is supported by foreign ambassadors with their families as well as notable local officials - Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis and First Lady Iveta Vejone last year attended the event, bought gifts and chatted with everyone, as well as Riga City Council representatives and other local officials with their families.

The Christmas Bazaar will take place on Saturday, December 2 from 11-16, in Riga City Council, address: Rātslaukums 1.

Welcome to the International Women’s Club Christmas Bazaar! It is where Christmas starts!
