Opolais to sing Tosca in Covent Garden

 Latvian diva Kristīne Opolais sings Tosca at the Royal Opera House in London on March 23 and 26; conductor - Maurizio Benini. The production by Jonathan Kent stars Yonghoon Lee as Cavaradossi and Michael Volle as Scarpia.

In the 2010/2011 season, Opolais was an overnight sensation at the Royal Opera House as Cio-Cio Sun in "Madama Butterfly", Latvian National Opera informs.

In July this year, Latvian tenor Aleksandrs Antoņenko will perform the role of Cavaradossi in the same production at the Royal Opera House, with Martina Serafin as Tosca and Scott Hendricks as Scarpia. Conductor - Daniel Oren.

The Royal Opera House also informs that Opolais will star as as Manon Lescaut in Jonathan Kent's production of Puccini's opera in June and July of 2014.
