Tom Jones performing at "Arena Riga" tonight

RIGA, June 26 - The popular singer Tom Jones will perform a concert at "Arena Riga" tonight at 8 p.m., concert agency "FBI" representative Kristaps Karklins informed LETA.

The singer is currently on a tour. His two latest studio albums "Spirit In The Room" and "Praise&Blame" have received positive reviews.

Jones became a professional musician on 1963. His second single "It’s Not Unusual" was ranked number one in Great Britain, making him world-famous. Jones is the author of such songs as "What's New Pussycat", "Delilah", "She's a Lady", "Kiss" and "Sex Bomb". He has sold over 100 million records.

In 2006, Tom Jones was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. In 2012, he performed at the queen's Diamond Jubilee at Buckingham Palace. Jones has received two "Brit Awards" - Best British Male and Outstanding Contribution to Music, "Hitmaker Award" and "Music Industry Trust Award"

Karklins indicated that Jones can certainly be considered a living legend. His performances transcend time and genres, and he is popular with all generations. Jones' name has always been a symbol of the power of song and voice, Karklins said.
