The conductor confirms to ''Diena.lv'' that he has accepted the offer, but that "no contracts have been signed yet."

Poga is all set to take the helm in 2014/2015. As a preview of sorts, one can attend the September 22 performance of "Don Giovanni". Also this season, he will be musical director for the new production of ''Il Trovatore".

Since September of last year, Poga is assistant to the chief conductor of "Orchestre de Paris", Paavo Jarvi.
