Vilks predicts 5% GDP growth in Q3

 RIGA, Oct 31 - Retail trade data indicate that Latvia's gross domestic product (GDP) growth was around five percent in the third quarter of 2012, Finance Minister Andris Vilks (Unity) writes in his "Twitter" account.
The minister predicts that the fourth quarter will also be good to Latvia's economy.
Hopefully, more people in Latvia will benefit from this growth, writes the minister.
At the beginning of October, Vilks also estimated that, according to industrial, retail trade, transport and budget data, Latvia's GDP could grow approximately five percent in the third quarter.
The Central Statistical Bureau will release its flash estimate on Latvia's GDP in the third quarter on November 9.
As reported, according to seasonally non-adjusted data from the Central Statistical Bureau, in comparison with the second quarter of 2011, Latvia's GDP increased 5 percent in the second quarter of 2012, whereas in the first half of 2012, when compared to the same period in 2011, the GDP grew 5.9 percent.
