Eurostat: November’s producer prices in Latvia grew more rapidly than average prices in EU

Industrial producer prices in Latvia grew 6.9% in November 2018 when compared to the same month of 2017, which is a more rapid pace than the average in the European Union, according to data from Eurostat.

Producer prices in November when compared to the same month of 2017 had increased in all EU member states except for Ireland, where a 0.6% decline was registered.
 

The most rapid price climb was registered in Belgium (+9.3%), Denmark (+9.2%) and Estonia (+8.6%). Producer prices in Lithuania had increased 3.4% in this period of time.
 

At the same time, the average industrial producer price level in EU member states in November had increased 4.3% when compared to the same period of 2017. Producer prices in Eurozone, on the other hand, had increased 4%.
 

Compared to October, industrial procurer prices have dropped by an average of 0.4% in the EU and 0.3% in Eurozone.
 

Compared to the previous month, producer prices in November had declined in 16 EU member states, had increased in 9 EU member states and had remained unchanged in Malta and Slovenia.
 

The most rapid decline was in Greece (-2.7%), Netherlands (-1.4%), Lithuania and Britain (-1.3% in both).
 

The most rapid growth was registered in Estonia (+1.7%), Denmark (+1.2%) and Sweden (+0.8%). Producer prices in Latvia had grown 0.3% in November 2018.
