RIGA, April 19 - Latvian pharmaceutical company joint-stock ''Olainfarm'' is back at full operation at its plant in Olaine (central Latvia) after Wednesday's explosion, the company informed the business information portal ''Nozare.lv''.

The company's board member Salvis Lapins points out that the plant is back to business as usual, and that the faulty equipment at the plant is currently being repaired.

As reported, Wednesday's explosion at the ''Olainfarm'' pharmaceutical plant in Olaine was most likely caused by a technical defect, LETA found out from the State Labor Inspectorate.
According to the latest information, the explosion was caused by a faulty heating tank, not a toluene vapor leak which was reported yesterday.

Two persons were injured in the explosion, and have been taken to hospital.

Several windows were knocked out, and work has been halted in two production sites. However, work continues as usual in the rest of the plant.

''Olainfarm'' emphasizes that the explosion has caused no harm or pollution to the surrounding environment.

An internal investigation has been started to find out the circumstances of the explosion.
