SRS: this year’s budget revenue plan is 99.5% completed

The administered budget revenue plan of Latvia’s State Revenue Service for the first six months of 2016 has been completed by 99.5%, according to information from SRS.

Compared with the first half-year of 2015, administered budget revenue has grown 5.6%. It is SRS’ largest increase of administered budget revenue in the past four years.

SRS’ administered tax revenue for the first half-year of 2016 is EUR 3.64 billion, which is EUR 208.66 million or 6.1% more in comparison with the first half-year of 2015.

SRS’ administered non-tax revenue is behind the plan by EUR 41.41 million. This is mainly explained with the failure to complete the revenue plan for dividends (by EUR 32.17 million).

In regards to the customs field, SRS has successfully secured transition to the new Union Customs Code by carrying out the necessary changes to the customs information system and keeping entrepreneurs well-informed of the upcoming changes. SRS also continued efforts to modernize the technical equipment of checkpoints on the border with Russia and Belarus, as confirmed by SRS.
