Disciplinary case launched against four KNAB workersAmong those workers are Janis Circens and Juris Jurass. This is confirmed by the trade union. It is unknown what charges have been presented to them. As it is known, in the past several months KNAB has launched several disciplinary cases against current and former workers of the bureau, including Juta Strīķe and Ilze Draveniece. Several of those people have turned against KNAB. Jurass had previously criticized KNAB for causing problems for him because he had used his constitutional rights in expressing his personal opinion to Ir magazine in regards to the unacceptable situation in the bureau. By doing so, Jurass had hoped to attract attention to the fact that the chief of KNAB does not provide effective functioning of the bureau. KNAB Ethics Committee noticed a breach of the Code of Ethics in Jurass’ interview to Ir magazine. With that, a disciplinary case was launched against him. The disciplinary case concluded with a reprimand. BNN/LETA
