Lux Express passenger bus ends up in a traffic accident in Estonia

On Friday, 29 January, a Lux Express passenger bus crashed in Estonia on Jehvi – Tartu road around 00:50 at night. Twelve passengers and the driver of the bus have been hospitalized.

Currently three Russian and one Estonian citizen remain hospitalized. No Latvian citizens were injured in the crash, as reported by Lux Express.

According to initial information, the accident took place when the bus was forced off road by strong wind. It did not help that the road was icy as well. No details about the accident are currently available.

«We would like to express our most sincere sympathy to all victims. We will do everything we can to make sure they have all the support they require. We will also do our best to cooperate with police to find out what happened,» – said Chairman of Lux Express Hannes Saarpuu.

There were 26 passengers and two drivers in the bus at the moment of the accident.
