School in Sigulda to use robots in learning process

For the improvement of the learning process at the Sigulda State Gymnasium, 15 STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) educational robots have been purchased.

A spokesperson from the Sigulda Town Council noted that the robots mBot Ranger have been bought with the support of the Town Council and would add to stimulating student’s algorithmic and creative thinking.

According to the spokesperson, mBot Ranger robots can be connected to a smartphone or a laptop and to perform simple actions – move the robot in different directions, switch on its LED lights and others.

As the school continues to modernise the learning process, it plans to increase the number of robots and is considering the purchase of similar products that would allow mastering the educational content in a more creative and interesting way.

The Gala concert of young opera singers will be held in the Latvian National opera
