HM: additional funding for healthcare would help reduce queues by 10%Continuing on healthcare reforms to improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare services, the ministry has performed detailed calculations on benefits for patients in the event of budget increase. The ministry notes that additional funding would help reduce queues for prosthetic operations by 10%; reduce queues for rehabilitation and palliative care by 25%; as well as secure additional treatment for 1,925 C-hepatitis and HIV/AIDS patients in 2018. «It would help reduce waiting time for state-financed visits to the doctor, ensuring that it is provided within 90 days,» Healthcare Ministry notes. The ministry also promises to resolve the human resource problem in healthcare institutions by increasing wages to medical personnel. Diverting an additional amount of 80 million euros to increase average wages to EUR 1,209 (EUR 859 at the moment) for doctors; EUR 730 (EUR 537) for nurses and EUR 484 (EUR 400) for assistant nurses.
