LU women's choir takes home first prize in China

RIGA, Nov 12 - Last night, the University of Latvia women's choir "Minjona" was awarded the Platinum Medal - the highest rating at the Xinhai Award International Choir Competition in China.
Conductor Romans Vanags and his ladies will take home a EUR 500 cash prize.
He was quick to point out that the rating for "Minjona" is truly high because the competition featured award-winning choirs exclusively.
