From October 7 to November 15, an exhibition of Latvian contemporary art, titled Lielāks miers, mazāks miers (A bigger peace, a smaller peace) will be open at the Latvian Railway museum by the National Library. The show of the newest works by contemporary artists will be held within the scope of the Tête-à-Tête 2015 arts program of the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation, LSM reports.

The exhibition will consist of newly made works by contemporary Latvian artists with international experience, as well as with art from talented names of the younger generation. More than 20 artists will take part in the exhibition, which is curated by former Culture Minister Helēna Demakova.

The artists participating in the exhibition “A Bigger Peace, A Smaller Peace” were invited to refer to both individual elements of consciousness forming the self, which are related to a desire for peace, and to broader natural and social movements, which generate or destroy peace to a greater or lesser extent.
