Insolvency administrators Ilmars Krums and Maris Spruds are detained

Latvian State Police have detained insolvency administrators Ilmars Krums and Maris Spruds. Both of them were previously in charge of the insolvency process for the liquidated Trasta komercbanka.

Krums’ phone is currently switched off. Spruds’ office has said that he is not in his office at the moment. Representatives also said that he will be away on vacation for a couple of days.

According to information from LETA, Latvian authorities performed several searches on Wednesday, 7 June. Investigative activities were performed by Economic Crimes Prevention Office.

Whether or no police have detained anyone as part of some criminal process is currently unknown.

Latvian Certified Insolvency Administrators Association also has no information about the detainment of the two administrators.
