Amendments to Latvia-France and Latvia-Spain Schengen visa representation agreements come into effect

 As of today, France and Spain will represent Latvia in issuing Schengen visas in several African, Asian and South American countries.

The respective amendments to the Latvia-France visa representation agreement and the Latvia-Spain visa representation agreement come into effect today.

Under the amendments, France will issue Schengen visas for Latvia in Libreville (Gabon), Kolkata, Bengaluru and Puducherry (India) and Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).

Spain will issue Schengen visas for Latvia in Buenos Aires (Argentine), La Paz (Bolivia), Santiago (Chile), San Jose (Costa Rica), San Salvador (El Salvador), Port au Prince (Haiti), Tegucigalpa (Honduras), Kingston (Jamaica), Managua (Nicaragua), Panama (Panama) and Montevideo (Uruguay).

Latvia in turn will issue Schengen visas for Spain in Minsk and Vitebsk (Belarus).

Latvia has currently concluded visa representation agreements with 13 Schengen member countries: Austria, Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. The agreements provide that Latvia is represented in issuing Schengen visas in 86 different locations across the globe, while Latvia represents ten Schengen countries in eight locations.
