Kulda signs with NHL's Winnipeg ''Jets''

 WINNIPEG (Canada), March 19 - On Monday, Latvian national team defenseman Arturs Kulda officially signed with the NHL's Winnipeg ''Jets'', according to North American media.
According to the portal ''winnipegfreepress.com'', the conditions of the contract are not known.

Kulda played for Kontinental Ice Hockey League (KHL) club Novosibrisk "Sibir" this season.

In the KHL regular season, the 24-year-old defenseman had nine goals and six assist with an average efficiency rating of minus 3, whereas during the KHL playoffs, Kulda had one assist and an efficiency rating of plus 1.

"Sibir" lost the KHL playoffs' quarterfinal series 3-4 to Omsk "Avangard".

Last season, Kulda played for the "Jets" in nine NHL regular season games, his average efficiency rating was plus 3.

The "Jets" are currently in seventh place in the NHL's Eastern Conference with 32 points in 29 games.
