''Amur'' force fourth game in KHL Hope Cup finals

 KHABAROVSK (Russia), March 19 - Today, Latvian ice hockey club Riga ''Dinamo'' lost to Russian ice hockey club Khabarovsk ''Amur'' 1:2 in the third game of their Kontinental Ice Hockey League (KHL) Hope Cup finals series.

Riga ''Dinamo'' still leads the best-of-five series two games to one. The fourth game will be played tomorrow.

Andris Dzerins scored the lone goal for ''Dinamo'' in today's match, while Evgeni Orlov and Dimitri Tarasov scored for ''Amur''.

As reported, Riga ''Dinamo'' defeated Russian ice hockey club Nizhny Novgorod ''Torpedo'' on aggregate in the qualification round of the Hope Cup, then defeated Ukrainian ice hockey club Donetsk ''Donbass'' three games to two in the quarterfinals and finally defeated Belarus ice hockey club Minsk ''Dynamo'' three games to zero to advance to the finals.

LETA also reported, Riga ''Dinamo'' finished the KHL's regular season in 14th place in the Western Conference and did not qualify for the KHL playoffs. On the other hand, ''Amur'' finished in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.

This is the first time in team history ''Dinamo'' did not qualify for the KHL playoffs.
