Gulbis beats Seppi, will play Nadal in next round

 INDIAN WELLS (United States), March 12 - Latvia's top ranked tennis player Ernests Gulbis on Monday extended his winning streak to thirteen matches with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Italy's Andreas Seppi in the third round of the Indian Wells tennis tournament in the United States.

In the next round, Gulbis will have to play Spain's Rafael Nadal.

Gulbis is currently ranked 67th in ATP rankings, whereas Seppi is in 20th place. Gulbis has already earned 106 ATP ranking points in the Indian Wells.

As reported, Gulbis started the tournament from the qualification round, where he beat Christian Harrison (United States) 6-7 (5:7), 6-2, 6-4, and Olivier Rochus (Belgium) 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. In the first round of the tournament, Gulbis defeated Feliciano Lopez (Spain) 6-3, 6-2, and in the second round he beat world 9th-ranked Yanko Tipsarevic (Serbia) 6-2, 6-0.

LETA also reported, Gulbis won his third ATP tournament singles title at Delray Beach, Florida, on March 3.
