Kulda to return to Winnipeg "Jets"

 NOVOSIBIRSK (Russia), March 11 - Latvian national hockey team defenseman Arturs Kulda has come to agreement with the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club Novosibrisk "Sibir" on his departure to play for the National Hockey League's Winnipeg "Jets" for the remainder of the season.

Kulda could join the "Jets" already in the near future. He left last June to join "Sibir".

In the KHL regular season, the 24-year-old defenseman had nine goals and six assist with an average efficiency rating of minus 3, whereas during the KHL playoffs, Kulda had one assist and an efficiency rating of plus 1.

"Sibir" lost the KHL playoffs' quarterfinal series 3-4 to Omsk "Avangard".

Last season, Kulda played for the "Jets" in nine NHL regular season games, his average efficiency rating was plus 3.

"Jets" is currently in ninth place of the NHL Eastern Conference with 26 points in 25 games.
