The Latvian club will play its next Group I match on February 26 at Romanian basketball club ''Gaz Metan Medias''. Only a win will allow ''Ventspils'' to qualify for the tournament's quarterfinals.

As reported, ''Ventspils'' finished in first place in its group in the tournament's first group stage to advance to the ''Top 16''.

The ''Top 16'' is made up of four groups of four. Each team in each of the groups will play each other twice - once at home and once on the road. The two best team in each of the four groups will qualify for the tournament's quarterfinals.

Last season, ''Ventspils'' lost in the quarterfinals of the Eurochallenge tournament to Hungarian basketball club Szolnaki ''Olaj KK''.
