ANKARA (Turkey), Jan 24 - Latvian center Kaspars Kambala will sign with Turkish second division basketball club Ankara ''PI Koleji'', according to the local Turkish sports portal ''basketmerkezi.com''.

In 17 games in the Turkish second division, ''PI Koleji'' was won only three games and is currently in the relegation zone.
Kambala, a former Euroleague center, has not played anywhere else this season, and seemed to have ''missed the train'' by waiting for a more lucrative contract offer from clubs.

The 34-year-old Kambala has turned down invitations to play for the Latvian national team the past summers, however, was a member of the notorious Eurobasket 2009 squad where
many players embarrassed themselves and the national team with several off-court incidents and disciplinary problems.

Kambala returned to basketball in 2008 after a two-year suspension for cocaine use.
