Podium finish for Dukurs brothers in opening Skeleton World Cup stage

 LAKE PLACID (United States), Nov 9 - After the third and final run of this season's opening Skeleton World Cup stage at the Lake Placid Track on Friday, Latvia's Martins Dukurs finished in overall first place, while his brother Tomass Dukurs finished in second place.
T.Dukurs finished 0.08 seconds behind his brother.
Russia's Alexander Tretyakov finished in overall third place, 0.17 second behind M.Dukurs.
As reported, this season's Skeleton WC favorite remains Martins Dukurs, who is a three-time World Cup champ, and the 2006 Olympic silver medalist. He also won last season's European Skeleton Championships and World Championships.
On the other hand, T.Dukurs finished in overall third place in last season's Skeleton World Cup.
