Latvia's tennis player Anastasija Sevastova through to the Kremlin Cup semifinal at Moscow. In the quarterfinal Sevastova defeated Vera Zvonareva (Russia) – 4:6, 7:5, 6:3.

The tennis players spent 2 hours on the court. The Latvian fired 4 aces and made 2 double faults while the Russian had 1 ace and made 6 double faults.

«I think I've seen Vera play one of her best matches lately. It wasn’t easy to come back in the second set but I won it. And in the third one I was luckier in a couple of points, they decided the end result. I have to improve my serve for the next match but I feel ache all over my body and I have a sour throat as I've been playing three setters here but I am fighting. I am happy that I am still in the tournament» - said Sevastova in her on-court interview.

In the semifinals Anastasija Sevastova will face  qualifier Ons Jabeur from Tunisis who earlier outplayed the Estonian Anett Kontaveit -7:5, 6:1.
