Majority of residents predict more immigrants in Latvia

 RIGA, Dec 4 - A majority or 61 percent of economically active Latvian residents believe that the number of immigrants will increase considerably in Latvia during the next five years, according to a survey carried out by the market, social and media research company "TNS Latvia" and the LNT television channel.
17 percent are convinced that immigrant numbers will definitely increase, 44 percent believe that this will happen rather than not.
33 percent point out that the number of immigrants will not significantly increase in the next five years. 5 percent are certain about it, 28 percent - rather convinced.
6 percent have no opinion.
The survey was carried out from November 27 to November 29; altogether, 650 residents aged 18 to 55 were interviewed.
