RIGA, Dec 9 - Released on the ECM label, the Estonian composer Arvo Part's opus ''Adam's Lament'' has been nominated in three categories for the prestigious music award - the "Grammy".

The acclaimed recording stars a superb Estonian-Latvian lineup: Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the ensemble "Vox Clamantis", the Latvian Radio Choir, the chamber orchestra "Sinfonietta Riga" and solo singers, all under the baton of conductor Tonu Kaljuste.

Part is a nominee for his composition, Manfred Eicher for producing the recording, and the choirs are up for "Best Choral Performance."

The 56th annual presentation ceremony will be held January 26 in the United States.
