airBaltic claims to have punctually carried 99% of transit passengers in 2017

Latvia’s national airBaltic airline carried more than 900,000 transit passengers in 2017. Only 10.8% of them failed to show up for their flights on time for different reasons, including countless worker strikes at European airports and bad weather, as BNN was informed.

airBaltic Vice-President for customer services and domestic operations Laura Vecvanaga-Puķīte notes: «We are always looking for opportunities to develop our services. In 2017 airBaltic launched tail to tail initiative to help improve service quality for airBaltic transit passengers. Now our transit passengers with short transfer time are accompanied by airline representatives, making the transit faster and more enjoyable.»

On 3 January 2018, it was reported that OAG analysts found airBaltic the world’s most punctual airline in 2017 based on punctuality indexes of more than 50 million flights.
