Dzintars losses have declined: can the company survive the crisis?

Compared with 2015, net turnover of Dzintars declined by 104,000 euros in 2016. The company’s losses, on the other hand have declined by 904,000 euros when compared with 2015, says the company’s board member Dagnija Maike.

It is also reported that Dzintars continued work on optimizing costs last year. The main objective in 2016 was exploring new markets to compensate lost market volumes.

According to Maike, Dzintars continues developing cooperation with brand owners to comply with contract orders in full, Maike said.

It should be said that Dzintars is the largest perfumes and cosmetics distributor and manufacturer in Baltic and Scandinavian countries. Dzintars owns 46 stores in Latvia. Dzintars brand products are exported to more than 30 countries around the world.

BNN had previously reported that two times in a row in 2008 and 2014 there had been steep declines of traditional markets. The consequences for that included major sales and turnover funds declines.
